I love the idea of using your ‘save the date’ as a teaser for your day where three little words – the magic words – are those which will set the scene for your celebrations. In the same way that you and your future husband/wife will work together to make a successful marriage, design and words work together in their own special relationship. When I sit down with every couple to talk about what they want from their wedding stationery, design ideas unfold naturally and this helps to create the way that you want to convey your save the date. The words fit the design and also take on their own meaning.
Just the Ticket
If you’re having a destination wedding, you may want the location and all it represents to take centre stage with your save the date to really build that sense of anticipation and nudge the sense of wanderlust. Your destination will also likely provide plenty of inspiration for the colour, font and style of your Save the Date stationery. Designs emblazoned on a postcard style works great for destination weddings and you can enhance the theme with luggage tag or flight ticket style stationery.
